To further fulfill its mandate to provide its stakeholders in the opportunity to be informed and to be supplemented with diverse topics that will help them empower themselves even at the comfort of their homes, CHED-NAFES in partnership with the University Extension Center recently launched Agri Aral Tekno Mobil or AgriATM, on March 3, 2022 thru an online program entitled “Konek AgriATM: Online Arangkada”. It showcased the services that will be offering by the AgriATM Project to the 177 Agricultural Extension Workers and Technicians attended the activity simultaneously in Zoom and Facebook Live.

“Ang bawat bahagi ng proyektong ito ay masusing binuo at mula sa ilang taong pananaliksik ng mga eksperto sa larangan ng pagsasaka, paghahayupan, at pangingisda,” said by Dr. Edgar A. Orden, CLSU President.

In addition, he stated that it will also showcase the different matured technologies developed in CLSU that can help its clienteles on improving their livelihood and production – such technologies in Tilapia, Goat, Mushroom, and Organic farming.

The AgriATM aims to develop and deliver timely  extension modular trainings and expert assistance  in Tilapia Production, Goat Production, Mushroom Production, and Organic Vegetable Production for livelihood/business enterprise in an e-learning platform and  through the use of the AgriATM Van, for use in blended learning environment for  farmers, fisherfolks, women,  out of school youth  and LGU-based extension workers in situ, in Central Luzon and eventually, to branch in other locations.

One of the features of AgriATM is the website they developed (www.agriatm.com) or the Learning Management System which can be accessible to the interested visitors and they can enroll and browse the eLearning modules for free.

In goat production, it will tackle the different system of goat raising, breeding management, feeds and forage management, and goat milking processes. Also, the Urea Molasses Mineral Block or UMMB, urea Treated Rice Straw or UTRS making, and producing of Pelletized Feeds using the Pelletizing Machine.

In organic farming, it will tackle the know-hows of the production of vegetables such as pechay, mustard leaves or mustasa, lettuce or letsugas, tomato, eggplant and onion. It will also teach the process of making biopesticides, production of TrichoPlus and vermicomposting.

In Tilapia Production, it will help the fisherfolks how to increase the number of their culture, appropriate fishpond and fish tank management, and the processing of different tilapia by-products that will help elevate their income.

The program already visited chosen barangays in Nueva Ecija on March 22-25, and as of this writing, AgriATM is currently conducting a household profiling in the chosen municipalities and barangays in Tarlac.

The Agri Aral Tekno Mobil or AgriATM is a CHED-NAFES funded program, together with the SUC Program Collaborators, Tarlac Agricultural University and Pampanga State Agricultural University.
